We’ve had quite a few people ask us when Image Spark is going to launch. While we can’t nail down a specific date yet we are entering into the final stages of testing. The entire site is built and functioning well. Also ready to go are two of the core upload utilities – A Firefox Plugin and a Mac client. We’re hoping most of what we catch in the next couple of days are minor fixes. If so, we should be sending out invites to those who “signed up”:http://www.imgspark.com/signup.php before the end of the month.
For those who are interested in following its progress in a little more detail you can “follow us on twitter”:http://twitter.com/imgspark.
Awesome. I just joined Twitter earlier this week. Good luck on the launch guys!
We are very excited to try this cool app and compliments for the video demo in the home page. Wich software did you use to do it?
not sure if you’ve got a feedback forum for image spark yet (or plan to) – but initial impression’s that it’s tight. Collage view is genius & the mac toolbar uploader is something you should expect to see ripoffs of pretty quick.
The profiles leave me wanting a bit – not sure what the difference is between viewing somebody’s profile and their library is, aside from different view options. Given the choice between the two, I’d take Library (with the sidebar from Profile) as the default user landing page.
The lack of vanity profile elements is refreshing – but maybe stuff like: images I’ve tagged, my images tagged by others, etc. could help fill it out.
Also, if you want to get tech on it you could do a ‘images by colour’ (not tagged ‘red’, but rather display images with red in them) & a recommendation engine (based on library/tagging similarities from other people).
Huge fan already. Thanks for delivering such an extremely useful & functional platform.
