Is there a way that you can elaborate on that. Is 21/21 and 21/24 as valid as 21/27? Or is there something extra I’m missing?

One reason I love grids that you didn’t touch on is that you can take a skilled designer with little HTML and CSS experience and provide them a framework to create great Web layouts without a lot of testing and dev time.

As a manager of Web designers and as one myself, I’ve seen a huge increase in productivity AND better work from my peeps and myself.

I’m going to share this with my teem. Thanks!

I will test this on my next project…

Thanks !

This grid has been a very interesting tool for making better looking type on the web. I have a type heavy education myself so there are many things I appreciate in this approach.

I’m very curious to know what kind of feedback you have had on this from the front end developers at T+L. Understandably FED folks are more comfortable with a grid using multiples of 10 or 5. Did you get any blank stares when asking them to use multiples of 6 instead.

Other comments mention similar concerns. Perhaps an upgraded solution might be tweaking the 960 Grid system into a 963 Grid system. Again it might become daunting for the developer.

With the quality of screens we have at our disposal it is about time we really hold up typography on screen to the same standards of print editorial, specially with all the editorial design done for tablets.

would love to know your thoughts on this.
