Remote I want control
Looking to leverage and extend the technology behind their Harmony line of universal remote controls, Logitech worked with Teehan+Lax to design Harmony apps for iOS and Android devices.
The key insight here was to pair Logitech’s patented device control technology—featuring easy setup and one-button access to common home entertainment activities—with content discovery: Launch the app, browse the electronic programming guide to find a show you’re interested in, then hit the “watch now” button. Your phone tells your TV and other entertainment hardware what to do through the Logitech Review set top box. We even created concept designs for tablet-based versions of the App that featured innovative ways to socialize and engage around content.
The more screens, the merrier
The Harmony remote brings a true multi-screen experience to your TV content, and so much care was taken to design the interface with this type of scenario in mind. Another design challenge was to create interfaces that were suitable to touch-based input, yet modular enough to span the over 175,000 devices the Harmony system supports.
Changing the (digital) channel
