Hover.com is a new site that makes it easy for people to do domain forwarding. If you've ever used services like SnipUrl or TinyUrl, you're familiar with domain forwarding. Take a long URL like the ones you get from Google Maps or Facebook and make it easier to email or send around by making a smaller URL that forwards to the to the long, ugly one.
The problem with existing services is that these URLs are temporary, they expire.
Hover.com lets you create personalized URLs that are permanent. For example, http://teehanlax.hover.com/office will take you to a map to our office. We can add that to the sig file of our emails and always be able to hand out an easy to remember link for directions to our office.
The free service lets you create 5 free Hovers. The paid service allows you to provide unlimited Hovers for your own domain.
We designed not only the UI but also the logo and identity (something we don't normally do).
