“Focus on benefits, not on features”

Mike is a sub-brand of TELUS primarily offering service on Motorola's iDEN network which allows for not only voice calling but also a two way radio function.

Mike is quite popular with industries like construction and transportation. TELUS asked us to build a demo that helps potential customers understand how Mike can help them in their business.

We developed an XML based Flash microsite that could be easily updated. Originally, TELUS wanted to create a product demo that showed people how to use the phone. We developed that idea into a series of vignettes that showed how Mike could help in various industries and scenarios.

We felt the consumer benefit of the various features was more important to the consumer than a detailed functional description. Mike's brand guidelines prohibit the use of photography other than for phones, so we went with an iconic illustrative style.
