OurFaves is community-sourced, interactive city guide that lets you discover and share the best places in the city. Teehan+Lax worked closely with the folks at OurFaves to reimagine the overall design of ourfaves.com and many of its core features. Our goals were to make the site more fun, engaging and easier to use.

The redesign effort involved a new faving model and a fresh content and community strategy. We focused on ways to provide context around content. For example, the new neighbourhood and group pages aggregate faves thematically, making it easier than ever to discover places of interest. We also sought to provide greater editorial value by tapping into a network of local and topical experts.

Engaging users and giving them more of a proprietary feel for their favourite places in and around their city was another key goal. Users can now not only fave places, but add ratings, reviews, upload their own pictures and create personalized lists to share with the community.
